Use 4K where the scene can deliver the detail
4K UHD video is commonly 3840 × 2160, approximately eight megapixels, but more pixels do not automatically improve identification. Lens choice, scene width, sensor size, light, shutter and compression determine how much usable detail reaches the recording.
Apply 4K to views that need wider coverage or more recorded detail and verify the full data path. Camera bitrate, switch uplink, NVR recording and decoding, storage, display and export time must all support the selected profiles.
