A fair NexPro-Link and Hikvision comparison starts with the same hotel operating brief. Separate required recording and support from optional displays, then evaluate documented differences.
Section 02
Select comparable model tiers
Match complete model references to individual positions. The supplied BL2812M PDF lists NexPro-BL2812M55-5MP-DIC-AI with a 1/2.7-inch sensor, 2880×1620 main output, 25 fps at 5MP and a 2.8-12 mm motorized lens. Those fields support a candidate comparison; they do not establish night-image equivalence, peak power or plate recognition.
For each competing Hikvision model, retain the regional version and documented recording mode. The linked hotel overview describes a solution context, not the offered lens, power or environmental fields. Obtain the actual model schedule and specifications before completing those rows; a brand name cannot supply the missing values.
Compare the consequence of a difference. A fixed lens can suit an already resolved view, while motorized adjustment may suit a position whose framing needs commissioning. Neither choice proves fewer cameras will satisfy the brief. Keep environmental requirements and required events visible when selecting a comparable tier.
Section 03
Trace recording and operator tasks
Follow video from each camera through its access node to the recorder, then separately through the authorized client to the display. Define how an operator finds a time window, replays relevant views and exports an approved incident. Compare the same tasks during normal operation and when WAN access is unavailable. Planned workflows remain requirements until demonstrated on the selected configuration.
The table uses 32 cameras, an assumed average of 4 Mbps each, continuous recording and 30 days of retention. Aggregate input is 32×4=128 Mbps. Decimal video capacity is 32×4×10^6×24×3600×30÷8÷10^12=41.472 TB. Dividing by 0.80 gives 51.84 TB of required usable capacity while leaving 20% free.
These inputs are independent of megapixel labels and are not a legal retention rule. Both package options preserve them. A larger display changes viewing scope, while disk layout and formatting determine whether the actual recorder supplies enough usable space.
| Metric / condition | A: essential recording-first package | B: same core plus optional scope |
|---|---|---|
| Recording input | 128 Mbps | 128 Mbps |
| 30-day video data | 41.472 TB | 41.472 TB |
| Required usable capacity | 51.84 TB | 51.84 TB |
| Protected path | Cameras + network + recording | Same plus explicitly selected extras |
| Operator display | Task-sized monitor/workstation | Optional wall; independent recording |
| Cost comparison | Complete scope quotation required | Documented incremental scope only |

Section 04
Normalize infrastructure and service
Carry the recording requirement into the proposed disks, network and protected power. NexPro-NVR4449-4K lists 49 channels, 320 Mbps input and four SATA positions with an 18 TB per-drive field. Its summary lists 49×5MP/9×4K; 49 channels cannot be translated into 49 simultaneous 8MP streams. RAID levels also need explicit confirmation.
CASE01 separately illustrates four 16 TB disks, 64 TB raw and an assumed 60.8 TB after formatting, without RAID capacity loss. That example shares this article's recording inputs, but its power and cable assumptions belong to the complete case. Do not borrow them as measured specifications for either bidder.
Normalize restoration responsibilities as well. Identify who diagnoses a fault, authorizes replacement and performs local work. NexPro-Link's supplied policy record, checked October 7, 2026, gives applicable main equipment a 24-month limited hardware baseline from receipt. Batteries, storage, cable, OEM conditions and service costs follow their scoped written terms; remote technical support does not establish free local attendance.
Section 05
Calculate only documented differences
Maintain separate calculations for recorder input, retention, each PoE group and each protected AC zone. If measured switch AC input includes its PoE cameras, adding those camera watts again would duplicate the UPS load. A fiber backbone also leaves remote active equipment needing a defined power arrangement.
Treat unresolved product fields as open items. NexPro SW-POE1618G has conflicting access-speed descriptions and no numerical total PoE budget in the supplied record. NexPro-NVR2232-4K has conflicting disk and playback fields. Neither can receive a favorable compliance mark by selecting the largest or fastest description.
For commercial evaluation, add excluded required items and remove duplicated shared accessories. Keep an optional display separately priced. NX-VP-5535 is an LCD panel, and NX-VD-4K16's name does not establish simultaneous decoding capability. Buy that scope when operator positions and concurrent viewing justify it, with the actual signal path confirmed.
Use an offered-model evidence sheet before a price recommendation. The linked Hikvision hotel overview is a research entry point. A recommendation for a specific offer requires its exact camera and recorder models, software editions, scope and controlling support terms; this guide establishes the comparison method and does not rank unspecified products.
| Check | Ask both proposers for | Do not infer |
|---|---|---|
| Camera tasks | Full regional models, source revision, lens/output and relevant view assessment | A brand-level image-quality winner |
| Recording | Streams, supported modes, disks and concurrent playback | Channel count alone proves all-resolution operation |
| Platform | Required workflow, firmware/client edition and interface evidence | A hotel-solutions page proves specific compatibility |
| Support and price | Delivered scope, local work, excluded items and controlling terms | Equipment-only and installed offers are equal |
| Open decision | Missing proof and the person responsible for it | An unknown specification or price is zero |
Section 06
Recommend a qualified package with exceptions
Use the essential recording-first package as the comparison baseline when it meets the approved hotel brief. Add display or recovery scope only for a stated operational benefit. Change the recommendation if the operator mandates a platform, the selected models cannot preserve required night detail, or the actual network and storage configuration cannot deliver the specified recording service.
NexPro-Link can support model matching, BOM/BOQ preparation, technical documents and coordinated equipment supply. Its CCTV manufacturing core and coordination of supporting categories are distinct responsibilities. A combined order does not establish automatic interoperability or include local installation unless the proposal says so.
Send the competing model schedule, software editions, battery configurations and inclusions/exclusions to info@nexpro-link.com. Include the retention target, destination and any restriction on alternatives. Hotel project equipment support and BOQ and tender support can then address the specific unresolved comparison without requiring guest footage, passwords or unrelated confidential documents.

Section 07
Buyer questions
Can a missing quotation item be treated as zero? No. Mark it unresolved and obtain a scoped price or an explicit exclusion. A disk, license or installation omission changes the evaluated offer even when camera quantities match.
Does ONVIF support settle the integration comparison? No. Match relevant device and client profiles, then verify required events, audio, retrieval and account workflows. ONVIF support does not establish cloud binding or every platform function.
Can existing spare cameras reduce the purchase? Only after their functional replacement scope is confirmed. Preserve model and version records, and check lens, power and recorder behavior before crediting a spare against a required position.
