Section 01

Frame the controlled handover before surveying the shelves

For an out-of-hours key issue, preserve the authorization reference separately from the later register entry. Retrieve the actual issue interval and associated entrance context. If staff cannot establish who authorized the issue, report that record gap rather than inferring permission from a visible handover. The owner defines emergency access authority.

Factory maintenance stores CCTV should concentrate useful detail on tool and key handovers, with a documented route from existing issue records to relevant footage. The checkout process remains the authority for who received an item and whether it was returned. Video supplies visible context where the transaction occurs; it should not become the only custody record.

Illustrative project scenario: The maintenance team needs context when shared tools or keys are reported missing. Assume a staffed issue counter, a controlled store entrance and an existing issue register. The proposed recording task is to show the exchange at the counter and the relevant approach. Shelf inventory and automatic tool identification are outside this planning assumption.

Walk through both issue and return transactions before choosing a camera position. Check where items are placed, whether the clerk’s body blocks the exchange and whether a queue hides the recipient. A broad room view may show occupancy yet miss the handover surface. Define the required visible action first, then decide whether a counter view and entrance context need separate cameras.

Section 02

Use issue records to locate footage without merging authority

Give the counter and its cameras stable project identifiers. The issue register should retain its own item identifier, issue or return timestamp and responsible operator. Map that counter identifier to the corresponding camera schedule. A reviewer can then use an approved transaction reference to locate footage even when no direct software connection exists.

Check the clock relationship between the register and recorder. Record the time zone and how the reviewer handles a known timestamp difference. If the issue system stores only a broad shift reference, the initial video request must allow a wider search. A precise-looking timestamp should not justify a narrow export until its relationship to recorded time has been checked.

Direct integration is an additional option, not a consequence of common supply. If the owner needs a transaction to open a video result, specify the exact system, supported interface and configuration owner. Keep authorization to issue keys or tools within the existing governance process. Camera connectivity does not grant permission to amend issue records or operate store access controls.

Section 04

Measure the selected payload while preserving the full event

The illustrative broad request selects eight cameras for 60 minutes each at an assumed average 4 Mbps. The targeted request selects two relevant cameras for 10 minutes each at the same bitrate. Decimal payload GB = cameras × Mbps × seconds / 8 / 1,000. The broad estimate is 8 × 4 × 3,600 / 8 / 1,000 = 14.4 GB; the targeted estimate is 2 × 4 × 600 / 8 / 1,000 = 0.6 GB.

The difference comes from selected cameras and time, not improved compression. Use the narrower request only when the issue record and camera mapping retain the complete handover, relevant approach and any necessary return context. If the transaction spans a longer period or another doorway, expand the selection. Reducing irrelevant material is useful; removing part of the required event undermines the review.

These figures estimate video payload and do not establish export duration, review-time savings or legal evidence status. Actual file size may include container overhead or other data. Record the selected camera identifiers, start and end times and handling responsibility with the export, then verify that the files play using the intended recipient workflow.

Section 05

Select the counter package against a repeatable transaction

Recommend a dedicated handover view where the overview cannot show the exchange reliably. Retain entrance context only when it serves the agreed investigation. For an ordinary counter location, NexPro-DM2812M55-5MP-DIC-AI provides listed 2880×1620 output and a 2.8–12mm motorized lens. Confirm the actual view with representative tools, hands and movement; the source fields do not prove that small labels or key markings will be readable.

Evaluate recorder input, storage and concurrent playback independently. CASE08 assumes 128 Mbps input for each 32-camera node and 41.472 TB of video over 30 days at 4 Mbps per camera. Its 48.64 TB video budget already includes the stated formatting and reserve factors. A new counter camera or longer retention needs a node-level recalculation, even if a recorder still has unused channel numbers.

Compare brand proposals using the same transaction demonstration and retrieval scope. Include switches, PoE demand, routed cable, compatible storage and configuration work. Change the design when counters move, tall returned items block the view or timestamp quality proves inadequate. A broader initial search may be necessary until the record-to-video mapping becomes reliable.

Section 06

Deliver a counter-to-camera retrieval map with the equipment

The final package should connect the store layout, counter identifiers, camera tags and recorder channels. Include mounting accessories and cable endpoints, plus the owner-approved search and export workflow. Keep register maintenance and door authorization outside the CCTV scope unless a separately agreed interface explicitly requires them.

NexPro-Link can discuss camera and recorder matching, technical documentation and BOQ coordination for the handover task. Project labels and packing can identify counter and entrance units without putting usernames or credentials on public labels. Local image alignment, account configuration and transaction demonstrations should be priced and assigned to the installation team.

Acceptance should follow a sample issue record through search, playback and export using the proposed equipment. Verify both the narrow search and the process for widening it when context is missing. Record the accepted view and camera mapping so a replacement unit or counter relocation can be checked against the same transaction task.

Section 07

Buyer questions

Can CCTV identify every tool or key automatically? That capability is not established by the supplied ordinary-camera specifications. Keep item identity in the issue register and test any proposed readable marking or specialized identification function separately.

What should happen when an issue record has no exact time? Begin with the approved broader time window and relevant counter and entrance views. Narrow the export after review confirms the complete event, rather than guessing a precise ten-minute interval.

Can an existing recorder support this package? Check its supported camera modes, input load, storage, playback and export workflow. Available channels alone do not establish that all of those resources are sufficient.
