Back up the payment, networking and monitoring equipment without claiming that a compact UPS can keep vehicles charging.
Section 01
Separate Charging Energy from IT
Back up the payment, networking and monitoring equipment without claiming that a compact UPS can keep vehicles charging.
Not as a generic solution. Separate charger power conversion from payment, networking and monitoring equipment. For a project-specific decision, record charging power, payment, network and monitoring in the scope table. This keeps the equipment inputs and intended service outcome aligned.
Capture the answer in the scope table: charging power / payment / network / monitoring before equipment is compared. This gives the project team a concrete service target and exposes missing dependencies early.
| Decision area | Project question | Required output |
|---|---|---|
| Separate Charging Energy from IT | Can an IT UPS keep vehicle charging running? | Scope table: charging power / payment / network / monitoring |
| Trace the Session Record | What information should remain available during an outage? | Record path: charger event / local gateway / backend / reconciliation |
| Define Network Backup | Which network equipment should be included? | Network schedule: device / input / link / required interval |

Section 02
Trace the Session Record
Identify the platform's supported session, payment and event-recording functions. Trace the local and remote dependencies needed to preserve them. Backup power does not independently guarantee billing correctness or create an offline transaction capability.
Use the record path: charger event / local gateway / backend / reconciliation to keep real interfaces and operating states visible. Measured demand, equipment limits and future allowances should remain separate entries.
Section 03
Define Network Backup
List gateways, routers, switches and any communication equipment needed for the chosen objective. Account for the external network as a separate dependency. Local UPS runtime cannot guarantee that the carrier or remote platform remains reachable.
Review the network schedule: device / input / link / required interval with the owners of the connected systems. Power continuity only supports the functions that remain connected and available during the event.
- Confirm the answer to: Which network equipment should be included?
- Draw electrical power as a solid path and management information as a separate dashed path.
- Keep external services and specialist approvals outside the UPS equipment claim.

Section 04
Fit the Site Environment
Specify the actual enclosure environment, ventilation and service access for the selected equipment. Distinguish sheltered indoor devices from exposed cabinets. A compact backup unit is not automatically suitable for outdoor temperature, moisture or public-access conditions.
Document this choice in the location sheet: enclosure / ambient / ventilation / security / service, including the condition that triggers it and the person responsible for the response.
Section 05
Coordinate Recovery with the Charger
That decision belongs to the charger and platform's supported operating policy. The UPS can support communications and status reporting, but should not be used to bypass charger controls. Reconcile records and confirm system readiness through the responsible application.
Test the sequence represented by the recovery map: supply / network / platform / records / charger policy during an approved maintenance window. Record the observations needed to confirm recovery.

Section 06
Prepare the Site Support RFQ
Provide the support-device schedule, interfaces, environment and required event-handling interval. NexPro-Link can discuss equipment within that scope. Keep charging-power requirements, safety controls and payment-platform capabilities explicitly outside any unsupported general UPS claim.
Send the completed brief: support devices / w-va / runtime / environment / exclusions with the project request. It is more useful than a capacity number without interfaces, operating states or a defined service boundary.
