Send the starting point
An early request can be a floor plan, a current BOQ, an existing-device list or a short description. Use a shared link for large drawing sets and include the revision/date.
- Country, building type and new-build or upgrade stage.
- Floor/building plans with scale, room uses, equipment rooms and permitted routes.
- Known service/device counts and the project stage or opening schedule.
Collect the engineering inputs
Design quantities follow actual endpoint locations, services and constraints. Leave unknown values open rather than guessing them.
- Concurrent clients, AP/client types, video bitrates/retention, voice/IPTV platforms and business applications.
- Fiber type, length, measured loss, connector polish and existing copper certification.
- Mains/DC supply, local outlets, UPS autonomy, PoE endpoint requirements and environment.
Agree the output and approval point
A preliminary concept, procurement BOM and construction drawing set have different evidence requirements. Define the deliverable before detailed work.
- Tagged point layout and physical/logical/power diagrams.
- Model/optic/license list with quantities, assumptions and optional alternatives.
- Site survey responsibilities, installation boundaries, acceptance tests and remaining approvals.
