Centralized Internet-Based
CCTV Surveillance Solution

Solution Document Version 1.2 | April 2026
Powered by Seetong Cloud Platform | All NexPro Hardware Fully Compatible

1. Overview

The NexPro Centralized Internet-Based CCTV Solution is an IP-architecture video surveillance system designed for enterprises with headquarters and branch office structures, user permission hierarchies, and Internet-based connectivity between sites. The headquarters connects via dedicated fibre or broadband with a fixed public IP address, while branches connect via ADSL, broadband, or 4G/5G. Headquarters users can simultaneously view any camera across all branches, while branch users are restricted to their local cameras.

Core Design Principle: NexPro IP cameras at each branch perform local D1/HD recording with motion-triggered storage on onboard TF cards. The headquarters NexPro NVR pulls streams on-demand via the Internet — no continuous bandwidth consumption. When multiple headquarters users view the same camera, the NVR receives a single stream from the branch and multicasts it internally, eliminating bandwidth bottlenecks. Advanced stream prioritisation ensures high-priority users always receive video first.

By networking distributed, independent video collection points across branches, the system achieves unified monitoring, unified storage, unified management, and unified dispatching from the headquarters control centre. It is ideal for enterprise groups, retail chains, logistics companies, property management firms, and government agencies requiring centralised video oversight without dedicated private network links.

2. System Features — Addressing Key Concerns

Rapid Deployment of Unified Monitoring Across Distributed Sites

The system quickly connects cross-regional, scattered camera points — including those far from urban centres — into a unified real-time monitoring system accessible from headquarters. Branches require only a NexPro NVR, NexPro IP cameras, a PoE switch, and an Internet connection.

Multi-User Simultaneous Monitoring Without Bandwidth Bottlenecks

The NexPro NVR at headquarters receives a single unicast stream from each branch NVR and redistributes it via multicast to multiple local Seetong Client workstations. When a camera becomes a focus point, dozens of headquarters users can view it simultaneously without multiplying Internet bandwidth consumption.

Bandwidth-Efficient On-Demand Streaming

Unlike conventional systems that maintain persistent streams, the NexPro solution employs an on-demand pull mechanism. Video flows only when a client requests it. The NVR controls the total inbound bandwidth and prioritises streams by user privilege level. No redundant video streams are generated between cameras, platform servers, and clients. This mechanism dramatically reduces Internet communication costs.

Powerful Unified Web Client — Seetong Client

The NexPro NVR integrates a web server, providing a unified B/S (Browser/Server) access interface via Seetong Client. Through the Seetong web management portal, users on any browser-equipped terminal can perform: system configuration, user management, device management, live audio/video preview, scheduled patrol viewing, historical recording playback, PTZ control, alarm linkage, web-based snapshot and manual recording, and recording download.

3. Network Application

The system consists of three component layers: NexPro IP Cameras (frontend), NexPro NVRs (central platform), and Seetong Clients (monitoring terminals).

  • Headquarters Control Centre: A NexPro NVR8864-4K serves as the central aggregation platform, connected to the Internet via dedicated fibre with a fixed public IP address. The monitoring centre operates 24/7 using Seetong Client (C/S architecture). Management users access the system via Seetong Web Client (B/S architecture) through office PCs according to their functional permissions.
  • Branch Sites: Each branch deploys a NexPro NVR4449-4K with local SATA storage. Cameras connect via NexPro SW-POE switches. The branch NVR connects to the Internet via ADSL, broadband, or 4G/5G. Frontend cameras perform local D1 recording with motion detection. On trigger events (emergency button, scheduled time, motion detection), recordings are uploaded to the headquarters NVR for central backup.
  • Mobile & Remote Access: Seetong APP (iOS/Android) provides mobile monitoring with two-way audio intercom. Remote sub-control centres access the system via Seetong Client.
Scalability: A single NexPro NVR supports up to 64 IP camera inputs and 38 local users. For larger deployments, NVRs can be cascaded in tree topology up to 60 units, with elastic expansion of storage capacity, recording channels, real-time forwarding capacity, frontend device count, and client user count.

3.1 Application System Architecture

The diagram below illustrates the complete system architecture — branch sites on the left, headquarters and sub-control centres on the right, connected via Internet with on-demand streaming and multicast distribution.

4. Main Component Functions

4.1 NexPro NVR Series — Central Platform

The NexPro NVR integrates six core functions into a single All-In-One embedded device: Web service, management & authentication, database, storage, forwarding, and playback. Using the broadband Internet as the communication medium, it enables multiple users across multiple regions to:

  • Perform real-time monitoring of multiple camera points
  • Receive and process alarm events
  • Record and store video centrally
  • Review historical recordings
  • Conduct two-way audio intercom with remote sites
  • Multicast video streams to multiple local clients simultaneously
Headquarters NVRNexPro-NVR8864-4K — 64CH, 8-Bay (max 144TB), 320Mbps inbound, dual 1G LAN, 16 alarm in / 4 relay out, Seetong Cloud
Branch NVRNexPro-NVR4449-4K — 49CH, 4-Bay (max 72TB), 320Mbps inbound, dual 1G LAN, 16 alarm in / 4 relay out, Seetong Cloud
Max Frontend DevicesUp to 1000 per NVR in cascaded topology
Max Client UsersUp to 6000 (Seetong Client / Web / Decoder combined) per NVR
Real-Time ThroughputUp to 100 channels CIF@25fps or 50 channels D1@25fps simultaneously
StorageRAID-capable SATA bays (max 18TB each), N+M backup clustering
Stream ControlOn-demand pull mechanism; configurable maximum concurrent upload streams; high-priority user streams served first during bandwidth contention

4.2 Seetong APP — Mobile Monitoring Client

Seetong APP (iOS/Android) is the primary mobile application for real-time video browsing, recording playback, and camera management. Key features include:

  • Multi-window video preview with audio monitoring
  • Two-way voice intercom with frontend cameras
  • PTZ control (pan, tilt, zoom, presets, cruise)
  • Video search and playback from NVR storage
  • Frontend recording backup to mobile device
  • Automatic device discovery and configuration
  • Remote device management
  • Alarm linkage: supports video loss, motion detection, I/O input alarm sources with flexible联动 actions (image pop-up, image storage, I/O output, PTZ preset call)
  • Configurable alarm arming/disarming by time period, with manual override
  • Instant cloud connection via Seetong Cloud — no port forwarding, no static IP required

4.3 NexPro IP Cameras — Frontend Devices

NexPro IP cameras convert analogue audio signals from connected microphones/pickups into digital streams, encode and compress them in real time (H.265+/H.265/H.264), and encapsulate them into IP packets for transmission to designated destinations. Cameras support onboard TF card or portable HDD recording for independent frontend storage — even without NVR connectivity, they record motion-detected events locally with plug-and-play simplicity. When connected to the branch NVR, they transmit on-demand to the central platform.
